Clark International Airport continues to encourage more travelers from Northern and Central Luzon to fly in and out through Clark International Airport (CRK) located in Pampanga.

According to Clark International Airport Corporation (CIAC) President and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Alexander Cauguiran, they are continuously roaming around nearby regions to urge passengers to use the CRK.

The CRK carried out the North Philippines Roadshow 2018 in a bid to lure more passengers, particularly from Regions 1, 2, 3, Cordillera, and the CAMANAVA area of Metro Manila. These regions have an estimated population of 23 million.

Cauguiran shares that the CRK is the gateway of choice that offers convenient, predictable, and easy experience so people can spend more time at their destination.

More airlines will be encouraged to use the CRK with more passengers using the airport. He explains that airlines will then offer more domestic or international flgihts.

On the 24th of May this year, the Clark International Airport served its one-millionth passenger. This was a feat achieved in only the first five months of 2018, a result of the rising number of flights.

The CRK currently serves host to 12 international and domestic airlines offering nine destinations in major cities in Asia and the Middle East. The airport also offers 19 domestic destinations.

Direct flights to tourism destinations, like El Nido, Balesin Island, Davao, Cebu, Basco (Batanes), Puerto Princesa and Busuanga (Palawan), Tagbilaran, and Cagayan de Oro are available at the Clark International Aiport.

On the other hand, international flights include Incheon and Busan in South Korea, Doha, Qatar, Hong Kong, Singapore, Dubai, Macau, and Osaka, Japan.

The CIAC is currently implementing a four-phase development program worth PHP17 billion to further enhance its facilities to ensure the hassle-free experience of the millions of passengers using the airport. The CRK’s development plan is set to be done before the end of President Rodrigo Duterte’s term in 2022.
