OMNI Aviation, in collaboration with FAITH Colleges, hosted a free symposium, "SOARING TO NEW HEIGHTS: Exploring Careers in Aviation," on September 27, 2024, at FAITH Colleges in Tanauan City, Batangas. This engaging symposium was held in two sessions to welcome aspiring aviation professionals.
The symposium featured seasoned professionals as guest speakers, including Capt. Martin Villaflor, A330 First Officer of Cebu Pacific; Ms. Paula Peachie Antonio, Lead Cabin Crew International in Cebu Pacific; Ms. Erika Virtudazo, Customer Passenger Trainer of the Philippine Airport Ground Support Solutions; and Mr. Earl Caday, Head of Training at OMNI’s Maintenance Training Center.

Representatives from OMNI Aviation were present at the event, including Capt. Eleazar Cayago, Vice President; Ms. Lilibeth Ramos-Mangulabnan, Business Development Group Head; Mr. Juan Paulo Gomez, Sales Manager; Capt. Jude Pilar, Head of Training at OMNI’s Pilot Training School; and Mr. Mikhail Josef Siy-hian, Senior Marketing Supervisor.
The morning session welcomed students from FAITH Colleges, while the afternoon session opened its doors to all guests and alumni. Each speaker shared personal insights, career challenges, and valuable advice with the attendees.
The first speaker, Mr. Caday, opened the discussion by inspiring participants with insights into what it takes to excel in the aviation industry. He also provided a glimpse into the life and responsibilities of an Aircraft Mechanic.
Ms. Antonio encouraged the attendees through her own cabin crew journey. Despite being a registered nurse, she pursued a career as a flight attendant, highlighting the diverse career paths available in aviation.
Ms. Virtudazo shared success stories of OMNI graduates now working as flight attendants, emphasizing that determination, dedication, and discipline are essential to success.
Capt. Villaflor, the last speaker, recounted his journey from flight training at OMNI to becoming an airline captain, underscoring the importance of resilience in reaching his dream.
Following these presentations, a Q&A session allowed participants to dive deeper into training, career opportunities, and advice from these aviation professionals.
Capt. Eleazar Cayago concluded the event with closing remarks, expressing OMNI’s commitment to guiding future aviation professionals.
