OMNI Aviation and Far Eastern University-Institute of Tourism and Hotel Management (FEU-ITHM) co-hosted a webinar titled “A Glimpse of the Aviation Industry” on November 20, 2024, via Microsoft Teams. The event featured a panel of seasoned aviation and travel professionals, including Mr. Clint Hera, IATA-Certified Travel Professional and Facilitator; Ms. Erika Virtudazo, Customer Passenger Trainer, Philippine Airport Ground Support Solutions; and Mr. John Derick Correa, IATA-Certified Flight Attendant Instructor.
The occasion gathered over 300 students from FEU, primarily from the Tourism and Hospitality programs. After a brief introduction, Ms. Vanessa Ngo, Associate Department Chair for Tourism, officially welcomed the participants with her opening remarks.
Mr. Clint Hera kicked off the presentations with an engaging discussion about his career journey and offered a sneak peek into the life of a travel professional. He also shared some key skills required in the industry, encouraging attendees to “put your mind and heart into whatever you do.”
Ms. Erika Virtudazo followed with a dynamic presentation focused on building self-confidence. She also showcased success stories of OMNI graduates who have gone on to achieve great success as flight attendants.
Finally, Mr. John Derick Correa offered insights into the evolving aviation sector. He also emphasized the essential skills needed for airline professionals and the diverse career opportunities available within the industry.
