IATA Train the Trainer: OMNI Aviation Head of Training for Cabin Crew attends 3-Day Training Program in Singapore
OMNI Aviation is on its way to improve its programs and services. To stay in the loop in the aviation industry’s latest updates, OMNI Aviation sent Lilibeth Ramos-Mangulabnan, Head of the Airline Cabin Crew Training School, to the International Air Transport Association (IATA) 3-day Train the Trainer program.
The training occurred last September 19-21, 2018 in Singapore. As for the experience, Ramos said it was enriching.
“It was a great opportunity to strongly enrich my skills, knowledge, and career in the aviation industry, especially complementing my training skills with best practices in instructional design and delivery,” she explained.
Ramos mentioned that the approach to the course taught by the IATA-certified trainers is dynamic, systematic, and relevant to the needs of the ever-growing industry. Interacting with experienced trainers gave her the chance to learn not just from the instructor, but also from other participants.
She said, “Interacting with people from various cultures and different airline backgrounds and expertise widen my mindset in this continuously evolving industry.”
The Train the Trainer program involved practical exercises and evaluation. All participants had to partake in the latter to ensure the progress of what they are learning.
“[The practical exercises] made me aware of areas of which I’m good at. I was also able to identify areas where I needed to improve on. Training experiences shared from seasoned trainers across the globe is instrumental in understanding appropriate instructional design and principles of learning,” Ramos shared.
Her training and experiences at OMNI Aviation equipped her to not only pass the course, but to complete it with distinction.
“I am now confident to disseminate learning from my IATA training to our organization’s training team,” she shared.
Ramos is the burning reminder that at OMNI Airline Training Academy, we soar high.
