The long wait is over, OMNI Aviation is now offering Civil Aviation Authority of the Philippines (CAAP) approved IATA (International Air Transport Association) Dangerous Goods Regulations (DGR) Trainings. Starting in May, online and on-site training will be scheduled for the DGR Trainings below:
1) Dangerous Goods Regulations (DGR) Awareness Training
2) Dangerous Goods Regulations Category 6 Training (DGR – Category 6) The DGR Trainings are designed to cater to fit airport requirements for various air transport professionals.
On one hand, the DGR Awareness Training is a one (1) day course designed for forwarders, shippers and operators. As this is an awareness training, modules are focused on the general aspects of dangerous goods transportation by air such as specification markings, declarations and documentations, passenger provisions and emergency response procedures.
On the other hand, the DGR – Category 6 Training is a five (5) day course outlined for cargo staff and operators, ground handlers, shippers, forwarders and DGR designers, and instructors. Compared to the awareness training course, the DGR – Category 6 Training provides detailed modules and instructions to enable air transport professionals to interpret the IATA DGR Manual and other pertinent documents, understand the responsibilities connected to classifying, labeling and shipping dangerous goods, and the corresponding limitations in shipping dangerous goods.
To ensure that participants are provided with top-notch instruction, trainings are conducted by an experienced IATA Accredited DGR Instructor. In addition, to make the training schedules compatible with new entrants or working professionals, online or on-site options are made available.
