Why You Should Watch Tayo sa Huling Buwan ng Taon

Over the past week, a new tear-jerker flick took the Netflix spotlight and earned its way into the Philippines Top 10: Tayo sa Huling Buwan ng Taon. The aptly-named film uses December and its festivities as the setting to tell the story of two couples and their tenuous connections.
The sequel to Ang Kwento Nating Dalawa, Tayo sa Huling Buwan ng Taon explores the dynamics of modern relationships and break-ups. Its uniqueness lies in the fact that its portrayal is almost painfully real, stripped of the rose-colored plotlines characteristic of most romance movies. Aviation-enthusiasts would also be delighted to find references to pilotage and aircraft intermixed with nods to the indie art scene. Keen-eyed OMNI trainees and alums would also note that one of the shooting locations for the film is the OMNI Aviation Complex.
The film stars Nicco Manalo, Emmanuelle Vera, Anna Luna and Alex Medina, with a feature role played by the late vlogger Emman Nimedez. It was written and directed by the renowned Nestor Abrogena Jr.
Tayo sa Huling Buwan ng Taon is a worthwhile watch and is truly deserving of its spot as the current number one Filipino Netflix film.
