Reservists of OMNI Aviation, the 2022 nd Philippine Air Force Flying School Reserve, boldly stepped-up upon the call of duty to aid government forces in the midst of the Enhanced Community Quarantine. Led by the President and COO himself, Master Sergeant Steven Cesar Virata, six trained representatives served over the span of March 24 to 28, 2020. Those enlisted were:
1. MSg Steven Cesar G Virata PAFR (Group Commander)
2. TSg Alexander N Pastrana PAFR (Non-Commissioned Officer in Charge)
3. SSg Nina Alexis S Laurel PAFR
4. Sgt John Paul Nunag PAFR
5. Sgt Maila C Timpug PAFR
6. A1C Emarzon D Gonzaga PAFR
7. A2C Alexander Tranate Jr. PAFR
The group was initially assigned to augment armed forces in manning the San Fernando entry point to the province, in a bid to prevent the spread of the virus in Pampanga. For the fourth and fifth day of duty, the reservists also helped in the distribution of over 1,700 relief packs to communities in the province capital.
As the country continues its battle against COVID-19, individuals trained for the reserved forces are implored to render their service to the Motherland to the best of their abilities.
