Simulating Alitalia: OMNI Cabin Crew Execute an Italian In-Flight Service

Guests on-board the in-fight simulation of Cabin Crew Batch 20-01 on February 25,
2020 were served with a taste of Italia as they “flew” to the Leonardo da Vinci International
Airport. A customized menu featuring Italy’s staple dishes and drinks honed in the whole
experience.
Trainees were scrutinized on their service proficiency by the business-class
passengers, namely Ms. Lilibeth Ramos-Mangulabnan, Head of OMNI’s IATA Group; Ms.
Jinky Dimacali, Training Manager of the Airline Services Training School; Mr. Mikhail Siy-
hian, Head of the Online Sales and Marketing Department; and Mr. Sam Reyes, an OMNI
Alumnus now working as a Cebu Pacific First Officer.
Gerlie Cayachen, one of the trainees for the in-flight service, affirmed the adequacy
of preparation which reinforces the theories they are taught for such occasions. “[We are
prepared] by doing a return demo and simulation. [OMNI] made sure that we were really
ready for the said activity,” Gerlie said. She added that the course ensures their readiness
“from boarding of each passenger until the last rendering our service regarding safety and
security of each individual.”
Airline cabin crew aspirants would be glad to learn that in-flight services simulating
international destinations is a constant in OMNI’s training. Thus, wide-ranging knowledge
and a globally competitive skillset awaits those who enroll.
